Al Batinah North Directorate held a celebration ceremony of the international day of persons with disabilities in Sport Complex in Sohar. The event was under the patronage of Mohammed Al Saidi, the Assistant General Head for Education Programs and Education Evaluation and Private School and with presence of a number of educators, parents and others. Moreover, the celebration aimed to introduce this day, highlight the handicapped group and overcome the difficulties they face in community.      
In addition, the celebration included various sport and entertainment activities and in the end, the main guest honored several of persons with disabilities, Supervisors of Special Education and teachers.    
It is also to be mentioning that General Assembly of the United Nation and by the resolution 47/3 in 1992 has announced 3 December as the day of persons with disabilities every year in order to promoting the rights  of handicapped group in different social and development fie.
