Special Education Section organized a number of educational meetings with the heads of cycle one schools at Al Dhakhilyah governorate. The meeting attended by Mohammed Al Mawali, the Head of Education Programs Department, Ali Al Abri, the Assistant Head of Education Programs Department, Mohammed Al Subhi, the Head of Special Education Section. It implemented in three days. The first day included Samail, Bid Bid, schools and the second day was in Nizwa,Manah and Adem schools and the third day was in Bahla and Al Hamra Schools. The meeting also, began with welcoming of the schools heads and thanking them for their exerted efforts in schools.
In addition, the meeting included various work papers relating to special education field. Hamed Al Qassabi, a Supervisor of Education Difficulties presented a paper that focused on the characteristics of learning difficulties and strategies that fit the student abilities and clarify the role of school and family in promoting student level. Then, Saber Al Sharqawi, a Supervisor of Mental Integration delivered another paper, which gave a definition of mental integration program and he mentioned that governorate was the first governorate to apply the program of mental and hearing-impaired integration in 2005-2006 and the number of s the students reached to 210 distributed in 27 programs at the governorate in 2019-2020. Fawziyah Al Badri, the Supervisor of hearing-impaired disability reviewed the classification of hearing-impaired disability and the terms of hearing-impaired integration. She also clarified the reasons of hearing-impaired disability integration and prevention methods.
At the end, the schools heads discussed challenges that schools administration face in registering new students at first class and problems of slow learners.
