Evaluation of the projects nominated for Sultan Qaboos Award for Sustainable Development in the School Environment Begins in Al Buraimi Educational Schools

The Central Committee for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Sultan Qaboos Prize for Sustainable Development in School Environment started on Sunday the central evaluation process for the projects that qualify for the first round of competition at the Sultanate level, which will continue until the end of next November.
During the visit, the Central Assessment Team visited Al-Farouq Basic Education School (8-9) and viewed the Renewable Energy Project (Wind Energy) in the Economic Axis. They also visited Al-Talai'ah Basic Education School (1-4) and viewed the Big Winner Project, which is included in the Environmental Axis. Finally, they viewed project of Zeinab Bint Khuzaima Basic Education School (5-12) which was in the cultural and social axis.
Dr. Mohammed bin Khalfan Al-Sheidi, Advisor to the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Central Committee for Follow-up and Evaluation of the Award, said that preparatory procedures are underway to start evaluating the applications of the schools nominated for the award through the electronic award system "Mostadam" as of Sunday.
He mentioned that the evaluation of all the projects will be electronically through the system "Mostadam", which serves as a common platform for all the operations of the award at the local and central levels.
The number of projects nominated for the first cycle of the award at the level of the Sultanate about (562) projects distributed on the three axis of the award: environmental health, social cultural and economic. While the number of projects qualified from the local evaluation level to compete for the award (110) projects.
