Under the patronage of Shaikh, Talal Al Mamri, the CEO of Oman Telecommunication Company (Omantel) with presence of Issa Al Shibli, the Assistant General Director for Planning Affairs and HR Development and IT in Al Btainah North, the Directorate General of Education organized closing ceremony of the star of reading competition in Al Rafahiyah Hall in Al Khaburah.
At the beginning, Ahmed Al Badri, the Head of HR Development delivered a speech where he thanked those who are in charge of competition for their efforts in encouraging students to read and clarifying the importance of books in life. Then, the attendance watched a film about competition and operetta that concerned the competition of star. Also, the operetta composed by Aysha Al Fazari and it focused on the importance of reading in developing the students' characters. Zahrat Al Madaen School and Al Itisaam School participated in the operetta.
At the end, the patron of the ceremony honored the participants and contributors in the competition. He also honored teachers, supervisors the winning students and schools who achieved the first places in the competition. The patron given a memorial gift.
