• Cognitive Knowledge Development Program


• The interest in teaching of Science, Mathematics and Geography with its applications on its different levels is today's global essentiality, due to the firm association between these knowledge areas and the achievements of the civilized humanity.


• Program tools:


The editorial competition.

 The editorial Contest
Tests will be developed centrally, and the role of regions will be in correcting, administrating and analyzing of the results.

• The test will be through the scientific questions in mathematics, science and their applications in real life.
• The test is Skills-based on both practical and mental process.
• Tests are based on the list of Education output in the matrix - sequencing of two materials Mathematics, science and concepts of Geography
• Students in each grade level from grades (5 - 10) undergo for two separate tests:
A. Mathematics test.
B. The test of Science concepts and skills of Geography.

• The tests applied in the classes (5-10) are different from tests applied within the formal continuous evaluation in order to cover all the concepts and skills that the student studied.

• A forthcoming mechanism is being prepared of management of Examinations, correcting and analyzing their results, and the computer programs needed to do so.
 

The oral Competition.

First: Introduction
Oral Contests are considered one of the oral assessment tools in the Cognitive Knowledge development program, to be implemented at school level, taking into account the following controls:

(1) To include all students from classes V to X.
(2) To be conducted an ongoing basis within the school throughout the school year.
(3)To be developed within school and educational districts, organized and administrated by the school supervision groups and the region group.
(4) The participation of all supervisors and teachers of science, mathematics and geography in the preparation and implementation of oral questions competitions at the district level and school.
(5) Documentation of the actions taken in the implementation events of the oral competition at the level of the school and the district for evaluation purposes within the program in support.
(6) The provision of oral questions to the competition (the sciences, mathematics and the concepts of environmental geography) solely.

Second: the implementation mechanism of the oral competitions
To achieve the objectives of the competition and ensure the comprehensiveness and organization of the form, please, take into account the following:
• Involve all students at each class level, making their assessments in groups as it deems appropriate to teacher.

• The Practical projects

I: Introduction:
• Be open for students interested in the targeted grades (5 - 10) to participate in the projects which highlight the personal innovative effort (individually or collectively).

• Prepare a process manual of the projects in terms of: the definition of the project - the types of projects - stages of evaluation - a mechanism and controls and tools and evaluation criteria.

Programs in support are a set of programs and treatment plans done collaboratively, undertaken by the region in general and on the level of each school to achieve the general objectives of the curricula.
Stages of assessment procedures of programs in support (A&B):

A. Assessment of the region’s schools :

• The region should form a panel or more to visit all the schools in the districts where there are classes of (5 - 10) to assess the support programs offered by schools.

• The visiting team will evaluate all of the school programs in support of treatment plans and collaborative actions that achieve the objectives of the program according to the forms prepared for this calendar.
• Be honored the first three schools in the region, provided it attained an 85% or more in the evaluation form prepared.

B -The Ministry Evaluation of the educational areas
The Central Committee of the ministry teams to visit all areas to assess the educational programs carried out by the region to achieve programs in support
