Other services
As the Oman Educational Portal SMS service is considered to be very effective due to the huge number of target within different segments, MOE team is working words enhancing the SMS services and having some additional educational and administrative services in place. Some of the upcoming services are;
• Student teacher Time table
• Seat number
• Teachers supervision in the exams center
• Parents board meeting notification
• Status of the employees’ services; vacations, transfer, qualification and training applications.

SMS services:
New services:
Recovery service of user name and password for the Educational Portal.
Educational services that are currently under test:
1. Inquire about the student class.
2. Notification of elective subjects.
3. Notification of school activities which the student has joined.
Expected to be completed at the end of February or mid March 2011
Educational services are currently available:
1. Notification of the student’s outcome at the end of each semester with the possibility of withdrawal even for non-participants in the service.
2. Notification of student’s absence from school with the possibility of withdrawal for non-participants.
3. Notify parents to come to school.
4. Notify parents of the temporary terminate registration.
Services will be provided in the future:
1. Notify parents to attend the parents meeting.
2. Seating numbers for diploma certificate.
3. Notify of student's re-enrollment.
4. School schedule for students.
5. Notify teachers of the dates and places of observation of General Diploma.
6. Notify the teacher to place and period of correction of diploma tests.
7. Timing of periods.
