Oman Education Portal launched a promotional campaign meant for promoting connection and communication with schools and homes and leading the way to future within Digital Oman Strategy. This promotional campaign communicates the good reputation made in technology field and the ongoing development.
The Education portal was launched in late December.2007,and since then it has reaped many international awards and many home competitions, among which being crowned twice with his majesty the Sultan Qaboos reward for best electronic services category and the best electronic initiative.
The portal promotional campaign has been deployed in Oct 2011 and continues its outgrowing track including many proceedings and events that aims to increase awareness and technology usage.
The portal resamples MOE’s articulation of new Digital Oman, a community that deploys the new technology products efficiently, a success story, that introduce key services to the society interactively in collaboration with many affiliated institutions in the country in an easy and simplified way that cuts time, efforts and cost expenses.
The campaign is launched in many premises across Muscat city; it uses all possible advertisement means such as pamphlets, pictures and advertisement posters as well as deploying live screenings and some demonstration tutorials using portal’s browsers.
In an innovative step, the staff encompassed some mini competitions for youngsters, which allows to spread portal ID, where they receive promotional gifts such as memory sticks, printed pens, medals, key rings, shirts, caps, balls, sportswear, and notebooks bearing the logo of the portal, and also distribute print services booklets aiming to grab the attention of students, while also appealing to parents and teachers who are key influencers and main customers.
The Ministry of Education worked collaboratively with various civil institutions to cement this campaign, to name some:
The Health centers in coordination with Ministry of Health, Lulu Hypermarket, Al-Safeer Hypermarkets, Al-Maasa Mall, Bareeq Al-Shati ,Al-Bahjah Commercial Centre , Jawharat Al-Shati , City Centre – Al-Qurm, Al-Maha Petrol Stations , Shell Petrol Stations , Oman Oil Petrol Stations, Burger King.
A distinctive support was received from Al-Bahjah Commercial Complex which supported marketing campaign profoundly and Bareeq Al-Shati, which hosted an open day mass for education Portal on the occasion of Children's Day on November 11th 2012; a celebration attracted big number of families in a spirit of joyful celebration.
Note that the visionary plan perception invests powerfully in bridging partnership with different civic institutions in the country in an attempt to outreach all community segments through active participations in various large events, jamborees and festivals of all kinds, which will derive better revenue.
