At the foundation of the school, the textbooks used were brought from Egypt and Palestine; the books used were calligraphy, literacy and grammar. The later sessions book used were from Lebanon such as Arabic, Mathematics, science, history and Islamic studies.
The children also learned a famous book of Sheikh Noor Al-Deen Mohammed bin Salim Al-Salmi; Talqeen Al-Subian (coaching Children) which addresses morals, ethics, principles and behavior.
Handwriting on those days were a necessary skill to master ,thus His Majesty the Sultan Said bin Timor (god save his soul) donated a sets of school pamphlets known as the Golden Chain Series to teach (calligraphy).
