The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Peaceful Nuclear Technology Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, carried out the second national training workshop via virtual meeting entitled "Innovative methods of teaching peaceful nuclear science and technology. Moreover, it supported by OQ Company. The workshop targeted school students" within the regional project RAS009 “. Also, the ceremony was under the patronage of His Excellency. Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education. The workshop will last for four days, with the participation of thirty-seven physics teachers from various education governorates. Then H.E.Dr.Abdullah delivered a speech where he stressed the importance of implementing the training workshop coinciding with the world attitudes to use the peaceful nuclear energy in diverse fields.

In addition, the workshop program included several work papers presented by teachers in the national team of teaching nuclear science and who already attended many regional courses organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Dr.Khalid Al Jumaa , the expert in ( IAEA ).

The project aimed to enhance the understanding of science teachers in secondary or middle schools in Member countries on the nuclear science and technology topics, and to convey them to students through effective and attractive educational learning processes, and to make nuclear concepts more interesting to the younger generation to support the sustainability of peaceful applications of nuclear technology in Member countries agency.

It is worth to be mentioning that the Ministry of Education’s participation in this project began in 2018/2019, when it achieved a number of achievements, such as the International Atomic Energy Agency trained fourteen teachers from the various educational governorates through regional workshops, which were held in a number of from countries including “Indonesia, Malaysia, the United States of America, Australia and the Philippine. Also, the participation in the National Science Week STEM from the tenth to the fourteenth of March 2019, as well as participation in a special corner for peaceful nuclear technology in the second edition of the Oman Science Festival, where nearly eighteen thousand students benefited from these events during one academic year.
